anchovies Anchovies are delicious little salt-bombs. Do you like Caesar Salad? Anchovies! How about Nicoise Salad? Anchovies! Partial to Bagna cauda? Anchovies! Do you put Worcestershire sauce in or on anything you cook? Anchovies! Do you cook with Vietnamese or Thai fish sauces? Anchovies! Fan of tapenade? Anchovies! Want to perk up some deviled eggs? Anchovies! Chefs often add a bit of anchovy paste to dishes in order to kick up the umami (savory) dimension of a dish. Most people who think they do not like anchovies have enjoyed the taste of anchovies disguised in other foods. |

Pizza Hut? They don't sell pizza. They sell sandwiches with pizza like toppings. Here is real pizza makers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvbYcABI2IA Now Italy wants to regulate pizza makers in the EU and want them to be licensed. Pizza makers around Napoli are very proud of their tradition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69O4PXzAQ5Y |

Which do I like better? That's a toughie... I'm sorry, greasino's and greasy hut and their ilk simply don't do anything for me. Costco has edible stuff they call pizza, but http://www.originaldomenicos.com/ is finally in the pizza class, oh you can get some other good things there too. ![]() |

If I have to settle for a frozen pizza, I usually go for a Tombstone Mushroom and Sausage. Also had a Screamin' Sicilian deluxe the other day...that was pretty tasty. When Lori and I have a DVD and pizza night, then it's Papa Murphy's. Their Cowboy pizza, take and bake at home. They are VERY generous with the cheese and toppings. We always get extra black olives for her, and extra mushrooms for me. We get a 'family size', and eat about half of it on Saturday night and have the leftovers for dinner on Sunday. So it turns out to be a rather good deal for two nights of dinners. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |

Do you put Worcestershire sauce in or on anything you cook? Anchovies! I'm not surprised about the fish sauce, and I do love Thai food! I am a little surprised about the Worcestershire sauce. That said, I still can't see myself ordering anchovies on pizza, anytime soon. :~) ![]() |

Anchovies are somewhat related to the herring. Here we eat a lot of herring. Herring fried directly on the red-hot iron stove is called "Sotare" (Chimney man) because of the smoke when frying them. In Britain they eat kippers that is smoked herring. We call it "böckling". |

As long as the herrings are not red.. The meat is red as salmon but not the herring itself. ![]() This is not a Red Herring:) |

You missed My point, as in a red herring, not a fish in this case. It's elementary dear Watson. |

Anyone eat anything lately? I make a cheap spaghetti sauce that lasts for days. I'm pretty sure I've posted the "recipe" here. I eat spaghetti when I don't have enough money for other types of food - the type that normal people who have money eat. I'm talking about things like pork chops and chicken and beef and that sort of thing. ~Sue~ ![]() |

Anyone eat anything lately? \ Hey, kiddo. Don't cut spaghetti short./ That is my 'comfort food' of choice. I often have it late at night to fill my belly and help me to sleep. Years ago, when I had more than enough to drink and stomach problems cut in, my GF of the time knew what to do....cook up a box of spaghetti, and it would put me right every time. Hey, kiddo. Wonder if al dente let it act like a sponge and soak up the excess drink? |

I often have it late at night to fill my belly and help me to sleep. I once ate a LOT of spaghetti at 2 AM when I was about to cycle 300 kilometers around Lake Vättern at 3 AM. It didn't get me sleepy until 1 PM. |
