Parenthood should be banned, then we won't have kids, and we won't have family weddings.

Chris :) are you alright? :) Do you need a little lie down and some soothing music perhaps? :) I can even make sure it's not the wedding march if that will help? I know you went to one over the weekend :)

I loathe all kinds of shopping - but clothes shopping IN PARTICULAR. I learnt that traipsing behind my mother as a child and behind my daughter as a grown up. HOURS OF TIME INVESTED in buying absolutely NOTHING so it has to be done ALL OVER AGAIN NEXT SATURDAY... *inhale paperbag...and exhale paperbag* so I can see why your train of thought has led you to where you are with regards the banning of parenthood...:) but perhaps the "end of civilization is nigh" thread is a better place to get some comfort on that?

Here we offer factual, up to date information to those for whom it is too late. :) The people who try so hard not to make the same mistakes their parents made, that they inadvertently turn out a younger version of their mother/father without meaning to. :) Those who realise along the way - that the best one can ever do as a parent is to make a completely DIFFERENT pig's breakfast of their children's lives to the pig's breakfast their much loved parents made of theirs! :)

But if you would like to leave your petition here beside the cot, you're most welcome... :)

LOL. I went with my wife once to get a dress for a company Christmas party. We went to the mall and into one store where she saw a dress that she was interested in, Tried it on it fit good, And I liked it. BUT,for the next 4 hours we had to go to every single stinking store in the mall that had dresses. And Guess what? I know the guys can guess. We went back to the first stinking store and bought the dress. After that I refused to go clothes shopping with her. She did manage do find a willing girlfriend that would go with her though.
When a guy buys a suite hes good to go for 10 years at the minimum. When I do have to put a monkey suite on, Nobody says, Hey didnt you wear that last year? Or the last 9 years? Or every time you had to wear it.
Why cant women just get a dress that is ulitarian like a guys suite.
And no I dont expect an answer:)

The last time I bought a suit was 1988. I do not need to wear them every day to the office, so it mostly hangs in the closet.

Hi Chris :) I wish I could take you up on that... but have just discovered my sound card is not speaking to me. I don't recall upsetting it but I must have done. :/

Father of the Brides speech went on too long, the Best Man's wasn't amusing, elderly relative got tiddly on a glass of champagne and three sherries, two teenagers had a punch up in the car park. The view from 300feet was quite impressive at night though.

I can imagine :) At least it was worth it for that! :)

Hi John, how are you?
I think for many women who bought anything in 1988 - the shoulder pads needed a separate closet/wardrobe (see how international I'm becoming! :)) of their own! :) Still it does mean my daughter never felt tempted to raid mine. I raid hers now, though I tend to wear her dresses with trousers. :)

I've never owned a suit in my life.

Oh, hang on, I had a Safari Suit back in the early 70's, does that count?

Cheers.

Quite well. Back from my son's first camping trip with the Boy Scouts rather than the Cub Scouts. Now for some leadership training (for me - required).

Never had an interview for which it was required?

Never, but then again I was never interested in jobs that would have such a requirement.

Cheers.

:) I'm glad! Ye-e-e-s... good luck with that! Don't think it would matter how much leadership training I underwent... my children would just snort in vague amusement at it. :) Camping trip sounds fun though!

I have been requested to help lead the Troop. On outings, I let the OTHER leaders correct my child (otherwise I would just get snorted at).

Good thinking. You wouldn't want an inopportune snort from your son to undermine your authority elsewhere! :)

I hope that it's me (looks in mirror), yep it is.

*downs beer*

As to the next, I certainly can't see why, I just think that she's crazy (and far to young).

MB's are no good, ya need to be 4KB or less. :-)

Cheers.

my wife has asked me If I want to go clothes shopping with her and her mother. They are from the same mold. They spend all day going from shop to shop and then go back to the first one. I cant tell you how many times Ive heard that story. upon her return. I just say no I will stay home and whack my thumb with a hammer knowing im missing out on all the fun:) Even my father inlaw stays home.
Im thinking that maybe a few times a year the women can go out clothes shopping and us hubbys can have a beer drinking fest and get pie eyed wondering who will spend the most.

My missus never liked going shopping with me as I would just go and get what I wanted, then leave. Even if she didn't have a cent she would spend hours at the shops.

Cheers.
