Wiggo, how far are you from Sydney? I know you said you live in the hills.

I'm approximately 700km/435miles north of Sydney (I'm closer to Brisbane than Sydney) at the northern end of the New England Tablelands, they've changed the name of this region a few times since I was a kid and is now officially called "Northern Tablelands" (but I'll still call it by its original name).

Here's a map of the region, I'm almost halfway between Glen Innes and Tenterfield (on top of the range).

Yeah it's about a 7.5hr drive or a 10hr train/bus trip away, but after spending 4/5ths of my life in Sydney the country life now suits me much better these days (no hustle or bustle out here).

:) Sun does play havoc with newly bottled homebrew though. Still! Avoiding getting bits lopped off yourself does liven things up a bit. :)
Today I seem mostly to be talking about explosions.

DST started here today, here we go again takes me weeks to get the hang of it for time adjustment.

I like the bacon spam. But then I like regular spam also. Back when I was in the service one day I did fry some up in beer. It was quite good.

How did your game turn out Wiggo? I'm over at my GF house making neat for her return in about a week. trying some recipies I really question to see if it's true. I haven't got far enough yet to tell you, it's just soaking right now.
I like test some of these out, most of them are bombs. :)) Or I won't eat it. My kids liked when I cooked but ex's the want to forget. :(

My GF is one hell of a good cook and likes cooking for me, I never complian just snarff it down. ))

From what I can see pork chops cooked soaked in water to cover and a teaspoon of salt does best for 30 minutes. Adding a half teaspoon of baking soda does little to help. Amaricsn test kitchen gave 3 tumbs up but not by me. :))
