"Well, some of the people here are not the swiftest." You can say that again Tbar. Did you not read my post just prior to yours? Boinc....Boinc....Boinc....Boinc.... |

"Well, some of the people here are not the swiftest." It's hard to read while you're typing. I'm not the swiftest at typing. BTW, they are STILL looking for people to test the new CUDA App; x41zc commode build Any takers? |

Sure, I'll give it a go. I have cards ranging from 9800's to a 770. How does it work anyway? Member of the 20 Year Club |

AP's take me two days to process, once they reach the top of my stack. My average turnaround for AP is 11 days. My settings are for a five day buffer with an additional 0.5, in other words download to make at least 5.5 days of work, allow more downloads when it drops to 5 days. That usually gets me three or more AP's every time that more are split. However in the last few days, although they are being split, the buffer is always empty. I've only got one now, and one in progress. Where are they all going? |

I see that someone here is digging themselves even further down into the toilet, maybe that's why AP's have been suspended, maybe not, but then again that person is now only adding more fuel to the fire but also more ammo to those against such practices. |

Still some issues with uploads. They're all going through, but instead of around the usual 30-40kB/s, it's more like 3-4kB/s. It takes a few seconds after the timer starts for data to actually start uploading, but once it does it all goes through very quickly. Then it just sits there, 100% uploaded, waiting for that final acknowledgement to finish the job off. Edit- just had one now. Less than 5 seconds to 100% uploaded, then another 5 seconds before it actually finished. Grant Darwin NT |

The 1's here lately have completed their uploads within 4-5 sec's over the last few hr's Grant, maybe a problem with your ISP? Cheers. |

I see that someone here is digging themselves even further down into the toilet, maybe that's why AP's have been suspended, maybe not, but then again that person is now only adding more fuel to the fire and more ammo to those against such practices. Somehow I suspect I'm not the only one who finds the whole issue, and the whining that accompanies it, irritating. Perhaps adjusting the credit granted to where APs pay noticiably less than MBs would put an end to this nonsense? It's all work, it all has to get done, and it seems to me that my GPUs crunch MBs just as happily as APs. Clearly the SETI folks put a higher priority on MBs, based on how they have configured and manage the servers. Seems to me like trying to fight against that is a silly and futile exercise. I do know I get a bit sick of seeing my work waiting for validation for months on end, because my wingman on a job had 2500+ jobs on his PC, of which 80-90% come back as invalid eventually, after sitting as inconclusive, probably because he's got stuff excessively overclocked and can't be bothered to watch his system and take corrective action. But then, that's just me ... |

AP's take me two days to process, once they reach the top of my stack. My average turnaround for AP is 11 days. The AP Splitters haven't produced any new tasks since late Friday night, Just had a look at the status page - it is showing no tapes loaded :-(. If you look back since that post, you will see when the Servers came back up the AP Splitters produced nothing but Errors. You can still see a few grey errors on the SSP. After trashing about half the loaded channels someone took MikeN's advice and stopped the AP splitters. This caused most of the Erred channels to revert back to waiting. Since the continuing problem wasn't fixed Tuesday, I fear it may be serious. Since late Friday night, the only APs sent have been resends. That is why no one is receiving any APs, and that's a fact, not someone's insinuating WAG. Oh, there aren't any APs available at SETI Beta either, I checked. |

No, MB supply is fine, what is not AP, but that is for us all. |
