First, I do not know what to add as far as detail, so I'll add everything I can thing of. If more detail is required, I can provide.

I started using SETI@Home in Linux as of May 27, 2013. It has been working fine from that time until 2013-09-17. That day, and in the days which followed, 0 credits are showing, online, also with no change in stats in my BOINC client.

I tried a manual update as of 2013-09-25 and it updated with 104 work units, which is well below what should have happened in a whole week.

There are no units waiting to be uploaded on my side. My prefs are set to download up to 15 days of work, and there are plenty of units waiting to be processed on my side.

I note that a couple of units showed as "Error while computing" The detailed error looks like this:

<core_client_version>6.10.45</core_client_version>

I have not changed these settings recently. My computer usage pattern has not changed, so the SETI client is not shutting down for low resources, nor is there any indicator of 'suspended processing' whatsoever.

In the BOINC client I am showing as running SETI@Home v7 7.01

There were no changes (other than basic CentOS patches/updates) installed recently. I have not been playng with the BOINC software at all recently. The only add-on that I use for BOINC is 'boinctray' (which has been running since I got the Linux version running back on May 27th).

The acutal BOINC client appears to be not showing progress on a given work unit (elapsed time appears to count down only extremely rarely and time remaining keeps scrolling upward at approximately one second per second). So, the BOINC client itself seems to indicate that no real work is being done.

Anyone else suddenly having this issue with Linux based cleints?

ALSO, if you are directly involved in the BOINC/SETI@Home project, and you need additional specs, please feels free to email me and ask, glad to provide...I'm sure you can get my email address.

Also, someone mentioned this in another thread, so... as above, my prefs are to process work units regardless of idle state, limiting BOINC to 1 of 2 processors. This has never caused a suspend state in BOINC, nor do I see error messages suggesting suspended processing.

Message 1420967 - Posted: 27 Sep 2013, 14:40:24 UTC - in response to Message 1420895.

There are no units waiting to be uploaded on my side. My prefs are set to download up to 15 days of work, and there are plenty of units waiting to be processed on my side.

15 days it a bit much. Try something like 3 plus 1 until all works well again.

Are you sure that the "plenty of units" are processed at all? The last reported task that still shows on your list was uploaded on 9 Sep 2013, 6:06:42 UTC.

I see that you still have set the default of 25% for "Suspend work when non-BOINC CPU usage is above". Try setting that to 0 (no restriction).

Another indication that something is wrong is the error message on the unsuccesful tasks: "Maximum elapsed time exceeded"
Are your tasks perhaps all waiting for a specific resource (see status column in Tasks tab)?

Did you reboot your host recently? Sometimes that helps with stuck tasks (even with linus hosts ;-).

Gruß
Gundolf
