Something very odd is happening when I visit this thread. I bounce
around a lot, and posts I see are from 2013. I'm posting this mostly
to see what happens.

That happens to me in threads that I haven't visited for a couple weeks. My best guess is that after a weekly database outage, for threads I have not visited since the last outage, the DB stops keeping track of the last post I read, so when I return, it starts me at post #1.

That just happens with threads that aren't active for a while. Nothing to do with the outrages.

Last week, I bought a new bag of dry cat food. When I got home and opened it, it had moths in it. Then I looked and found that the "best by" date was December 2014. I closed it back up and put it outside until I had time to take it back to the store. Needless to say, I got a refund, not an exchange. Don't trust any dry food from there now.

It's a stinkbug. I believe CK* ranted about them not too
many years ago. (Maybe last year.)

I have seen my cats sniff them and be disgusted, and you
know it takes a lot for a cat to be disgusted by a smell.

They come in many sizes and colors, by the way.

Thank you Suzie, I didn't know about the fact about Daddy Long Legs.
I will eradicate Black Widows. Not sure what was going on this year, but I have not found one yet at home.
I did spot one at work, living next to a hot waterpipe. I let it be.

It's been 19 days since I've seen anymore clothes moths, either the park has eradicated the varmints or something else has happened to them.. :)

I found a very large insect in my home on Wednesday morning. It didn't move anymore so I thought it was dead. I put it in the sink and when I got home from work I poured some beer over it (LOL). An hour after that it flew around as though nothing happened. Now who says that beer isn't a miracle worker? :))

An exciting bug find in my back yard just now. I saw one of the cats pawing
at it and had to go see what it was. It's a beauty, but I'm afraid it isn't
going to fly again. Dammmit.

Does anyone know what this is? Some sort of dragonfly or damselfly, maybe?
