I have a long time inactive computer still present in my host list. It is offline because of a major hardware fault and last time it communicated with seti@home server was on 20 Jun 2013, 9:10:26 UTC. It is listed with 2 valid tasks, the last of which was reported on 20 May 2013. I would like to delete this inactive host but I'm currently not allowed to get it wiped out. Is there anything I could do? Thanks a lot for any help. IZ3ATV |

You'll just have to wait until enough Seti v6 tasks complete and validate, then once the project staff purge the database of the Seti v6 tasks, then you'll be able to delete that host. Claggy |

and it's hard to be off topic in your own thread - but you can end up in the wrong forum which may result in a moderator gently moving you to the right one. or hiding a duplicate thread. As per Claggy, you can't do anything yourself right now - you can only delete hosts with no task left. Since the v6 to v7 move left some tasks in limbo, it will require staff intervention to clean the database, once v6 has been completely finished. Check back next year or so. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. (Mark Twain) |
