We're beta testing the Android version of the SETI@home application and we're looking for more testers to speed up the process. If you'd like to help, install the Android version of BOINC through the Google Play Store or the Amazon App Store. Then when asked to join a project enter http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta as the project URL.

note: The beta project does not have access to SETI@home user accounts. Unless you're already using the beta project, you'll need to create a new account there.

Thank you for posting this news! I was disappointed when I first installed Boinc on my new android device but did not find Seti@home.

So I've got it up and running now, and all seems well. Are you wanting us to just post back here if we should encounter any problems?

When I downloaded the Android app I got the same message
could not not verify my log in information
So since I have running Enistein@home android app I just added a new project
with the url they gave and it seems to be running.

I just keep getting, "No tasks are available for the applications you have selected." On both my Asus Transformer and my Nexus 7. Is there anything else I have to set up?

[Edit] Ah! I didn't have the applications selected on my project preferences web-page. Got jobs now, one on the TF101 and four on the N7. [/Edit]

Manuel - Es que BOINC esta probando un systema que funciona en telefonos (y tablets?) android y se buscan personas que quieren probarlo. BETA significa que is nuevo y por lo tanto no necesariamente foncona perfectamente. Si tiene problemas debe decirlos aqui en el Message Board asique pueden investigar el problema. Ademas, necesita inscribir con una cuenta nueva porque BOINC Android no esta conectado con cuentas existentes. El app esta disponible en Google Play o Amazon.

After adding the URL, a page for the project should pop up with a "register" button on it. If you can't get to that page you may need to quit the project and rejoin.

Just installed the app on my Sony Xperia SP. Created a new account. Runs like a charm. 1 core in use. Already 0,4% finished of the first task after a little over 5 minutes.
