I have 5 units waiting for validation, one Astropulse running and no SETI@home new tasks. No wonder my RAC is plummeting. LOL... Yep, not drawing new work has ALWAYS been the biggest RAC killer! ;-) Makes any diddling they do with the scoring system seem insignificant. :-D |

Has this happened to anyone else? I had a (welcome) abrupt ridiculously high jump in my RAC (about 2.000). My pending list has not changed much, nor I have seen any 2.000.000 credit task having been given to me. I am not yet where I was before V7, but if the trend continues, I might be on the way. Before the RAC plunges again, I spread a smile! :-) Better 2: :-) :-) Sleepy |

The big jump is more likely just a temporary spike from having the validators offline a lot over the last couple of days as the project team was working out the problems. |

The big jump is more likely just a temporary spike from having the validators offline a lot over the last couple of days as the project team was working out the problems. But my pendings are still all there, same as 1 hour ago. Maybe I have to review a bit how the validation process happens. I thought I had understood that, but evidently I need to study some more. Still, nice to see it, until it lasts. Carpe diem! Sleepy |

Something strange happened in the last couple of hours. My total credits went up like crazy....maybe some 700k creds. And my RAC jumped from the 370k range to 446k? Not complaining, but what happened? "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Something strange happened in the last couple of hours. You are happy, mine still on the 155K mark and nothing changes. Could be the AP script Eric runs? I realy don´t make too much AP as you do. Who knows? |

Something strange happened in the last couple of hours. If it ran in the last couple of hours, it could be. I have been running a lot of AP since the release of the Lunatics installer. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

I just noticed the jump too, from about 2500 RAC to 3300. I have been running a normal amount of AP. I have never changed my settings here so I usually get a few peppered in every couple days. I'll enjoy this boost, even if its temporary. :) |

My RAC went fron 41K on friday to 62K today Mine jumped, and at the moment, appears to be resuming it's downward drift. Must have been the AP work, as I was doing a bunch of it. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

It must be an AP thing, the RAC of my 2 machines that crunch AP's has jumped by 20k and 10k in the last 24 hours. The one machine I have that crunches MB exclusively continues its death dive (this machine's RAC has dropped by 50% since June 01). T.A. |

Looks like something might have been adjusted serverside. Over the last 24 hours my average credit per V7 WU has jumped from ~80 to ~100. This is on 2 different machines. T.A. |

My RAC went fron 41K on friday to 62K today Curious, why don't you do AP work units? |

The actual AP apps still use a large amount of CPU work, in my case i have the GPU´s free to crunch but can´t use too many CPU work because my hosts are no dedicated crunchers. |

TA I agree I am starting to see more an more task credits approaching 100 average Maybe the CPU's processing VLARs is starting to have an effect on CreditNew? or a Chiropractic adjustment of our workunits credit wishbones:-) |

I wonder if running multi-instances on a GPU screws up CreditNew? From what I could gleen from the description (before my eyes glazed over and started spinning like a slot machine and then fell right out) the system is supposed to track the capabilities of devices. Well, if you run 2-up on a gpu when the baseline is 1-up, maybe that borks some timing numbers somewhere? Like this right here: For jobs done by anonymous platform apps, the server knows the devices involved and can estimate PFC. It maintains host_app_version records for anonymous platform, and it keeps track of PFC and elapsed time statistics there. There are separate records per resource type. The record's app_version_id encodes the app ID and the resource type (-2 for CPU, -3 for NVIDIA GPU, -4 for ATI). To be honest I don't know what any of it means. It *looks* like english but... |

My RAC went fron 41K on friday to 62K today Going by the enquiries on the forum they take a lot more effort to set things up to process without issues. Grant Darwin NT |
