I heard the score just before tea and thought "I'll get back and catch the last few overs". I got back too late for the last few overs, it was all over so quickly. Some quite devastating bowling and some pretty poor batting at the same time. Who would have thought that this was the team that got well and truly wellied a few months back... ...maybe they needed the wellying to buck up their ideas. |

Baseball decended from the games of rounders and cricket. I don't think so. In 1791 Pittsfield Massachusetts passed an ordnance prohibiting playing baseball within 80 yards of the new meeting house because of the newfangled glass windows. Only 80 yards because it was the dead ball era. ![]() |

I worked in Pittsfield Mass for General Electric right after getting my Master's degree. I was in Distribution Transformers in Advanced Engineering. Pittsfield (home of Herman Melville) had 10,000 working for GE in those days. Today there are none there. In nearby Dalton Mass they made the ink for printing US currency. I lived just above Lake Pontoosuc which would stay ice covered into May some years. |

As one of the commentators said, "India have been scrambled" Scoreboard India first innings: 148 for 10 (61.1 overs) England first innings: 486 for 10 (116.3 overs) India second innings: 94 for 10 (29.2 overs) England win by an innings and 244 runs |

Yep, well scrambled! The problem is though, can we maintain that form to take the Ashes back? |

Well in our 1st Tri-Series Tournament ODI match against Zimbabwe resulted in a crushing display beating the home team by 198 runs. We play South Africa today in the 2nd match and hopefully it'll be a much closer game than the last. Cheers. |

I spose we can be reasonably happy Wiggo but lets face it Zimbabwe is not really up to our standard of the game yet , but i do hope we kick those South Africans thu ![]() |
