As long as they don't serve Spam on the flight... You can have tuna, I'll split the grilled SPAM sandwiches with Ian. And if I'm in the Flight Engineer's seat, I'll take a frosty Root Beer with my sandwiches, please... Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

As long as they don't serve Spam on the flight... Welcome Flight Engineer Donald. So it's just the co-pilots job to fill and then we can get going. And if there are any other Brits who would like to come along, boarding begins at beer o'clock. *checks watch* It's beer o'clock. Cheers :) Member of the People Encouraging Niceness In Society club. |

I'll be Chief Steward, coz I get to chat up the female passengers. But be careful if the Co-pilot is Irish. Last time we had one of those, he was asked by the control tower to state his height and position, and he replied "5 ft 10" and I'm sitting up at the front". Welcome Chief Steward Chris, is one chat up line per passenger OK? Also, lol. Cheers :) Member of the People Encouraging Niceness In Society club. |

G’ Day Eh! How Ya doin’ Ya Hosers? This is Yer Captain speaking eh. To start with, all crew are reminded that there is to be no smoking within eight hours of flight time, and no drinking inside ten feet of the aircraft. Passengers are reminded that the crew are professionals and should be abused in a gentle manner. Please try also to remember that crew are mostly here for the fun, and a chance to sample the passengers as chance allows. Thank you for flying Air Beer O’clock! How's that? |

While you people are terrorising the air, I'll keep at bottling more beer and have a good Beer O'clock when I've finished. Cheers. |

When I was learning to fly we did not have any special hand shake for the 3000 foot high club, just a wry smile; or so I was told. |

Er excuse me guys. The infamous "mile high" club is 5000 feet. 3000 feet is neither here nor there. 30,000 feet is 5 miles. The average cruising height of a 747 is 35,000 feet. Thanks. Now the iPod in the back of my head is playing The Byrds' Eight Miles High. Think I'll have a nightcap.... Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

'Hey Mr. Tambourine man play a song for me...' bah Now I have a song stuck. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. (Mark Twain) |
