A pink peppermint pig.
Now I ask you, what could be more natural?

That's a cool looking hammer. Is that a pig smashing hammer? Where can I get one?

Now don't make me take my claws out!!!

That threat does not bother me at all.

My "friend" is a zoologist specialising in big cats. Last w/end she brought me a couple of bags of big cat manure, which I spread along the border of my garden. It doesn't smell very much to us humans, but the neighbours pets can and they know not to venture further. Even the dogs persuaded their owners to walk on the other side of the road. Baffles the hell out of them, such good fun.

Okay, look.

Peppermint can be either pink or green. Either way, I don't like it.

Pretty much anything sweet that's green, I probably don't want, because if it's not some sort of mint, it's likely lime.

Pink, however, can be good. Last night I had a chocolate cupcake with pink frosting. It was raspberry, and it was delicious.

BTW, anybody want a mint plant? I have some growing behind my house. My father used to put it in his iced tea.

I can also send you a catnip plant. Plenty of that growing here too. I'm surprised all the neighborhood strays aren't constantly high.

What Chris said. Peppermint is green.

Angela, you don't eat the flowers, you eat the green leaves. Well, I guess you could eat the flowers, but the flavour (note the correct spelling) is in the leaves. The GREEN leaves.

if it's not some sort of mint, it's likely lime.

That is right. Back in the 70's in the UK we had three flavoured neopolitan ice cream bricks. The original had Strawberry, vanilla, and lime, which represented the three colours of the Italian flag, as it was invented in Naples. Then they changed the lime to chocolate because it was cheaper.

Not a lot of people know that!

I had once wondered .....

Here's a cupcake...

I was just about to ask if we can post cupcakes in this thread. If the above was the only thing available, I'd give it a taste. But I much prefer the chocolate with cream cheese frosting and chocolate chips on top I just ate.

Do you mean like these?

That's the idea, but the cupcakes were darker and were moister than these appear to be. Also, the chips were on top. No sprinkles.

(I say they because I also had (last night) one of the same cake but with a light raspberry frosting. Or did I mention that already?)

In the early 19th century, there were two different uses for the name cup cake or cupcake. In previous centuries, before muffin tins were widely available, the cakes were often baked in individual pottery cups, ramekins, or moulds and took their name from the cups they were baked in. The other kind of "cup cake" referred to a cake whose ingredients were measured by volume, using a standard-sized cup, instead of being weighed

'onestly Nick, one drinks tea out of cups wiv an 'andle, and we doesn't spill bits in the saucer either ..... thats where you drink da tea from when it's too hot.

I dunno, mumble mumble, standards all gone to pot, weren't like this in my day grumble, baah, wheres me sanatogen ...

In the 50's here, 'cupcake' referred to your favorite squeeze.
Oh, another term. 'Squeeze' meant girlfriend, the significant other, or the one who was the friend with benefits.

Joe Morelli calls Stephanie Plum "Cupcake" in the series of books about her by Janet Evanovich. Even after she caused him to get shot in the leg.
