Yikes that was a shot in the dark. Thanking you. I'll be right back with a goodie. I have seen similar (but less fancy) hunks of wood used to take lids off of old fashioned metal pots over a fire. The kind of lid with a wire loop handle. As for the name, it should be "stick for taking hot lids off of pots", but marketing probably gave it some other name. |

Close enough Bill take it away. It is called a "Oven Claw". The Oven Claw was invented by a former high-tech president, Bill Leikam. He invented this new kitchen gadget in December of 2008, after watching his niece pull a hot oven rack with a wooden gizmo. He improved the design and out came the Oven Claw. ... |

Invented in 2008? Really? They taught us to carve our own back in boy scout camp in 1962. Anyway, this used to be essential in everybody's kitchen, and is still essential in some. |
