Hey Del-boy, thanks for lighting the fusepaper, big bang coming 2015...... Del-boy on the UK & EU ...... You won't have to worry about the lib-dems in 2015 Del, the UKIP will have more than doubled their % due yo your promise that soon after the next election you will have a referendum - now pushed back to 2017! BTW. I listened to your speech - What's all this "I Want & I don't want?" What about the other 59,999,999 people in this country? |

Oh dear, if true, it doesn't say much for the eurocrats in brussels....... Burger King drops suppliers "Silvercrest (Ire) and Dalepak (UK) both said they had never bought nor traded in horse product and have launched an investigation into two continental European third-party suppliers." |

Hey Del-boy, thanks for lighting the fusepaper, big bang coming 2015...... Amazing what can be achieved by supporting a political pressure group like UK Ind. They now say that a vote for UK Ind is a vote for Labour. Never assume this to be the case since Labour has now stated that they will not hold a referendum on the ECM issue. Is Ed Miliband a Silly-Band here since there are just as many Labour supporters as there are Conservative supporters who want a vote on this Euro debacle. If these Labourites want a vote on Europe then they have no choice other than to vote UK Ind or Conservative. So, in reality, has Silly-Band just thrown out the door any chance of Labour winning the next General election???? No, they haven't thrown the baby out with the bath water just yet...... As with all 2 party countries, it's got to the point where they just play "musical chairs". However, the time does come where the electorate finally wakes up & this is what a 3rd party has to concentrate on. Here at least, it looks like the UKIP is doing just that & come 2015, the 2 main parties will wake up & find that they closed the stable door after the horse has bolted...... ....What the UKIP has to do is to ensure that those muppets don't catch the horse! |

Is a financial bomb going to off in Germany? One for All?: German Court to Decide on EU Benefits Case One of the problems that keeps coming up in the UK is the amount of social security payments made to immigrants. Because, supposedly all EU citizens can move from country to country and expect to get the same payments as the citizens of that country. It is part of the 1953 European Convention on Social and Medical Assistance. But apparently Germany changed this in 2006 to stop immigrants from the new EU countries from claiming the benefits. They also made some more changes in 2010 to restrict payments to immigrants due to the financial crisis. This is now being challenged and could end up with Germany having a massive bill, and presumably many more immigrants. |

I've long held the view that benefits paid in Country_A to a citizen of Country_B should be back charged to country B. (This applies equally to "migrant" workers who arrive in the UK or Germany and to the UK pensioners who arrive in Spain) Edited - I should have added: If the person doesn't qualify for a benefit in their country of origin then no benefit payable in their destination country. Also the benefit paid is capped at the rate payable in their home country. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

It seems that Mario Draghi is a delusionist. He thinks God will resolve the Euro Crisis, either that or he's looking to become the new pope! The medicine is wearing off.... |

Pennies from Heaven 'The Federal Republic of Germany is in the deepest crisis in its history. The introduction of the euro was a fatal mistake that is threatening our prosperity. The old parties are grizzled and worn out. They are stubbornly refusing to admit their mistake and correct it.' Sounds very familiar! Extra! Extra! The Demons are only sleeping Us comoon as muck cashcows state anything like it & we're insulted, castigated, labelled "embittered", so Minister, any comments on one of your colleagues saying it? |

...we're an island...thank gawd! ....plus we ain't in the Euro hence looking for someone to blame for our sorry plight...someone to blame other than ourselves who would actually be the real ones to blame here. Time all other struggling ECM countries came to realise this fact for it's you and your governments who are at blame here and not that of Germany's. That maybe Nick, but you seem to have forgotten this from episode 1...... "For us, Europe is not only our destiny but also our desire. It is the lesson we learnt. Please understand for us Europe is much more than a currency or a single market... It is a political union we want." Direct from the horse's mouth! |

That maybe Nick, but you seem to have forgotten this from episode 1...... Mr Westerwelle...if he was to get his hands on it all then it will be a broken Europe he will end up with, unfortunately for him it wont contain the UK. If this isn't a wake up call, WTH is? Could Germany spark another war? Before Sir Humphrey sticks his oars in regarding the "Waily Fail", note that the events mentioned in the report were broadcast internationally by various news agencies, including our own Baghdad Broadcasting Company. |
