It would be nice to have the ability to change this setting in the gui clients and not only on command line clients! |

ups, I meant to have the possibility... my english is not very well... If this option could be included whether in web-prefs or in the client then I could ask the clients about their work stats with boincview. (http://boincview.amanheis.de/) Its a little good tool to have an overview of all running clients in my network running on linux (windows gui versions in future?). greets kokett |

Actually, no. The plan is that everyone runs the CLI, and the GUI communicates with the CLI for display, and settings control. The flag allows remote control of that CLI from a GUI on a different machine. The default is off for security reasons. In some locations, allowing the remote GUI is a bad idea. |
