And it looks like I'll be here at home with the kitties to watch events unfold.
Because they shut down the fire truck factory due to the snowstorm.
I cleared out my driveway and hopped in the car and went to work.
When I got there, the employee parking lot had only about a half dozen cars in it. I thought....geez, this is Wisconsin, has everybody turned chicken??

Went inside and up to the offices, and the production manager said that Oshkosh, our parent company about 20 miles to our south, had made the call and shut everything down for the night about 2 hours earlier. They were getting hit even harder than we were with the snow. There were only about 6 of us left in the plant.
Guess I wuz the only one that didn't get the news....LOL.

So, I went over and shoveled Lori's driveway so she could get into her garage when she gets home from work instead. And her wonderful neighbors saw me struggling with it and lent a hand. They have been most wonderful to her since her chemo battle began, and I thanked them both profusely.

So, I guess if it all ends tonight, the last personal contact I had with my fellow Earthlings was a very nice one.
