highlite the seti@home project on your BOINC manager. Then click on the button for your account. That will take you to the account your are logged in on your computer. I bet you have 2 accounts set up and didn't realize it. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

Gundolf already answered your question last December. Look here |

Nope, Gundolf's advise was spot on. You have two BOINC accounts. The one you post with, which is not showing any credits is user ID 9610725. The one you crunch with, which has all of your credits is user ID 9546522. BOINC accounts cannot be merged. Ditch the account your posting with by logging off account 9610725 and log back into account 9546522. |

This is the account that your computer is linked too, it was created 11 August, 2011. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_user.php?userid=9546522 Your posting account shows you as being on a team while your computing account does not have one. |

ok so here's my problem account A (this account) is linked to a hotmail email account B is linked to my gmail account C (the one with the credit on) i have no idea what account thats linked to the only other way to solve this problem is to use this method - http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/get_passwd.php the problem with that is the file 'account_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml' is not present in my Boinc folder. |

Have you tried your BOINC data folder? For Windows 7 it should be located at C:\ProgramData\BOINC if you left it in the default location during installation. |

Have you tried your BOINC data folder? For Windows 7 it should be located at C:\ProgramData\BOINC if you left it in the default location during installation. Bingo! i might suggest that you add that advice to the 'http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/get_passwd.php' page. and also mention that that folder may be (which it is) hidden. The problem was, in the end, the mystical 3rd account was @gmail and the 2nd account was @googlemail. so your system saw it as 2 separate email addresses but explains why i was still getting 'topic reply' notifications. rejoyce men, for today we climbed a mountain.... |
