As far as I can understand from the www.setiquest.org site and its blogs, SETILive in not a distributed computing project, since it does not use computers but the human sight and mind, like GalaxyZoo. Tullio |

That's a good question Chris S... but if he doesn't choose me soon then he'll have to come to Australia instead of Sweden. :D |

hohummm.. ;-))) I saw this thread by accident in the news fed, and got curious about whats going on.. Now that ive read through it, i find that its all about "heavily involved in SETI@home (lots of computers)" ..and nothing about nice locations.. hehe. I guess it exclude a lot of people, and the ones that would be actual shouldnt be hard to find.. ;-)) Anyway.. Good luck to the crowd. Pray and you shall get, its said somewhere.. lol The Coconut from Norway. ;-) ..now back to house paining.. ;-p |

Matteo, excuse me, but this is not the right place to post your questions, You should go to Number crunching instead. Also, never post your private email in a message board, you are inviting spam.To post a photo, you must use something like Photobucket, which I use when posting some photo in the Mystery photo thread in the Cafe. Saluti e non prendertela, queste non sono critiche. Tullio |

I was thinking that the author may choose "South Africa" or a South African, or even me! Why me? Let me think! Some time ago one of the signals that was processed by one of my computers, was chosen as a "candidate" worthy of re-examination. There were 200 signals in total if my memory serves me correctly, and mine was one of them! Whatever happened to those candidates anyway? |
