What a turnabout! Shouldn't have cropped up in the 1st place!

Climb Down over "Pasty" Tax

"Shadow Treasury minister Chris Leslie said: "They are not U-turning out of the kindness of their hearts, it is because they are being forced to do so. What a chaotic way to run a country. How on earth can you have a budget process that unravels in a day when you've got this kind of shambolic business?"

Even though the above statement is correct, He has a nerve after what Labour did to this country over 13 years!

Turnaround 3:

Tax relief plans scrapped

Think it's about time, they got behind closed doors, sat down & discussed the real issues then act - not panic decisions that backfire!

Oh dear, this country is so terrible, its politicians are so useless, and the government can't get it right. So out of nearly 136 thousand people, just three take to the boards to complain about it.

Who knows, for may be only a handful of us UK cruncher's have enough
intelligence to know how to operate and read these threads. Knowing how bad
our education system is then there must be a good chance that the vast amount
of UK citizens do not know how to communicate their feelings regarding political
policy. Here then Mr Cameron has little idea on where he stands with the
electorate... he should be a worried man, I say.

Maybe the regulations needed tightening up, so fair comment. However, many of those regulations are often flouted & this new one will be no different.

It's just another excuse to create more work for the Civil Service & more jobsworths to enforce it.

Oh-Oh Del-boy...it seems that everyone you wanted for your cabinet is up to no good..... or were you aware of this & wanted them to increase their snouts at the trough before you all get kicked out?

The whole political system in the UK is going to end up hanging itself.

Hope not as the replacement could be a lot worse. What's needed is a "clean Sweep" throughout the establishment with "hard & fast rules & regulations", with any serious breech being prosecuted.

Then (hopefully) those that enter politics will know the boundaries & suffer the consequencies of any breech.

The trouble here is that the establishment runs the system and you can't trust
them to apply self regulation because it will end up amounting to and achieving
nothing. The system needs a shock, it needs a big shock and not a shock from
outside the UK but one generated from within. Will the UK Ind' party provide
this shock for they could well become the third leading party in the UK.

Agree but then the rules & regs will have to be put in place, otherwise, what's to prevent them from putting their snouts in the trough?

Good question, If they do manage to occupy third position then this snout
issue will be one thing that they will won't to stamp down upon. They do
offer a change but it will be interesting to see what change, to the current
system, they can accomplish.

Del-boy changing his tune...what happened there? Has he finally woken up to the fact that if issues like this continue, he won't get a 2nd term?

This thread seems to have turned into a personal dialogue between Nick and Sirius. OK fine, let the two of them continue, they obviously have the time to spare. For the rest of us, perhaps we could start a more meaningful thread with some more useful and positive comments.

So in effect, you're saying that you won't allow posters to show the "negative" side of politicians? You would have been better to show the positive sides...as in every thing in life there is always 2 sides to a story.

Unfortunately with the state of our economy, there is not much of the "positive" side to quote.

As for having the time to spare, I'm actually working at this moment, installing O/S's & rather than watch paint dry, do other things...

If Nick & I are "muddying" your thread too much with rare appeareances by yourself, request that it's locked.

Agreed, & noted your comments. However, I do understand, but unfortunately, as leaders, they're showing their incompetence too often & they're are of the opinion that the electorate are fools.

So let's look at the media, you've stated often enough that they are politically motivated - fair comment!

Then just how are the electorate to get any knowledge & unbiased at that, with regards to the running of the country?

Start our own media company? ooops, can't do that, the banks are not lending!

The electorate do what you've stated? ooops, they wouldn't have the time to run the country as they'll be too busy dealing with their constistuents!

Fair enough. The main reason why I am & will continue to do so, lampooning Del-boy & Nancy-boy is that there are some very important core issues that need dealing with & all we, the electorate seem to see & hear is crap like the "patsy tax" & it's failure.

Del-boy swanning off worldwide just for photoshoots. Got to admit, he did good with Burma over the "lost spitfires", but at the end of the day, that's irrelevant to the running of the country.

So far, & according to our biased media, that seems to be the only good thing that's occured since he entered No 10.

If I'm wrong on this, I can't be blamed for that, blame the media...so WHO do we listen to?
