You used to be able to find out through one of the cross project statistics links on you account page. I just looked at all of them and it seems that it has disappeared.

It hasn't disappeared on my page on Boincstats. You do need to be on the project page, not the summary page of all your Boinc combined, since sign up is project specific.

Actually, it's amazing how many oldtimers that are still around.

Class of 1999-05-18 consists of 3227 users, several hundred of which are still active. I'm crunching like crazy and I'm still only 16th in my class.

Hey, I resemble that remark, and yes I am still here, 29th on that list, but top Brit.

*clears throat* Sorry, it's "resent." I see that one a lot and it just irks me.

I'm at the top of my class. Though finally somebody is starting to produce some good numbers. I was just cruising right up the list on mine though. Lots and lots of zeroes for RAC. Way down in 36th place for classic though.

No, it's not.

And on topic: I'm not top anything in my class. :(

No, it's not.

And you see it a lot because it's a quotation with a very long history, from British TV sitcoms, Groucho Marx, The Three Stooges, and back to nineteenth century vaudeville. Allegedly.

I've been sitting in 2nd place for a very long time in mine and I'm likely to stay there.

Cheers.

Cheer up. You are gaining on the leader. In a couple of decades you'll be sitting in your moon base celebrating the number one spot in your class.

I suppose. I guess it all depends on the tone of the context, too. That's the bad thing about text: it doesn't carry tone very well at all. So its hard to tell when someone is being serious, light-hearted, or just outright sarcastic.

It is always nice to see the others of your "class" crunching away. Out of my class of 268 only about 60 are still active.

I will also add that I frequently use the term "I resemble that remark" in a sarcastic fashion. Such as: "Look at all of those weirdos looking for aliens with their computers" "Hey, I resemble that remark!". :P

How do you get to that? If I start from the BoincStats link on my Seti account page, where do I go to find my class?

As dnolan wrote in the message you quoted:

So, click the Project list link on the left-hand side, select the desired project statistics ( ) and then the number at "Position in 'sign-up date' stats".

You just have to search for yourself. Here you are and here it is.

My Seti start up date class has 158 users, of which only 15 of us are still participating.
Naturally, I am at the top of my class....LOL.
