Reprise of the rules.

The winner of the previous round posts a picture and a question about it. Typically "where.

You may not use "tin eye" or similar reverse image look up sites.

Please do not use EXIF data from the image to help. (note to posters, please remove EXIF data). This can include titles and location data.

Please do not allow 24 hours to pass between clues.

Questions deserve an answer (with the exception, of course, of directly asking for the answer).

We will have to figure out how to deal with winners that go AWOL.

Clues may be text or photographic.

Contestants may use text searches to look for images (in particular images.google.com is allowed to be searched via text searches).

There is no rule about having visited a place. If you have visited a place (or not) and instantly recognize where the picture is, go for it.

If you post a picture of a previously entered place that is easily recognizable as that place, you get to pick a different picture.

Please try to choose a picture and question where it is possible someone else will know or be able to research your answer. For example a picture of someone in your family and asking for the name will be just impossible for anyone else to get.

PM The winner.

What sport is the park used for?

well the italian flag is vertically striped, I was trying to figure out if that is a vertically striped flag hanging down or an obscured horizontally striped flag...

Correct, a place with great atmosphere, especially when Ferrari win, keeping the Tifosi happy.

But mostly un-used. Wonder if it might be for sale. It would be a great place to throw a party.

The Villa is being restored and the Lega Nord has tried to put some Minestries in it, enraging Rome.

A famous winter resort, last October. In winter cross country races are held on the frozen lake.

I was asking the name of the locality in background. Since somebody sent me a PM with a name of the lake, I checked my map and found that the lake has the same name of the locality.

Not Italy but close to Italy. You can go there from Italy either by road or by train. Both scenic trips in the mountains.
