What kind of RAC can I expect from one of these? Do they process one WU at a time or multiples?

hMMM.. NO RESPONSES.

Anyway, GPUz shows three different GPU temps., so I am wondering if it is capable of running 3 different WUs concurrently.

I'm new to gpu computing, and I am learning that different projects seem to handle this differently. Lunatics/seti seems to handle multiple WUs but also occupies CPU time, Collatz only runs one, but leaves CPUs free to crunch independantly.

No, that has nothing to do with that. To figure out the optimum number of WUs to run in parallel is trial & error.

Thats partly because all newer AMD Catalyst drivers suck (and use 100% CPU, when it should be <5%). Partly because Lunatics apps can not run entirely on the GPU (yet). For example for Astropulse the blanking stuff needs to be done on the CPU (for now).

As for your original question: It's best to figure out your RAC by yourself. To do so, download the Test Tools from Lunatics download section (knabench/apbench). Then use those tools to do an offline run of a MB and/or AP unit.

For example, if you can finish one AP unit in 2 hours, you can finish 12 per day. On average you get ~750 points for each AP unit. 12 * 750 -> 9000 RAC

I'd be curious what your results will be. Could you please post them here?

Well, due to the irregular nature of Seti WU, especially AP, availablilty, I run Collatz on my GPUs. In a few short days, it looks like I am earning 50-60k points. i'm running Seti and Rosetta on my CPUs.

If "earning" points is what you are after then maybe you should start Bitcoin mining. Because with 1.000.000 BOINC points you can by less than with 1 Zimbabwe dollar ;)

In the end it all comes down to personal choice: If you want to help proving that which can not be proven by sheer compute power (Collatz conjecture) then yes, Collatz is the right project for you ;)
