I'm thinking Eagle Eye Rock...was supposed to be an ancient Indian ruin where eyes were carved into the mountain and were supposed to overlook their child who was buried in direct view across the river in the mountains.

We rafted by it 3 years ago while doing Cataract Canyon rapids.

What gets me about this pic is the uniformity of color in the rock layers, but the this photo does appear to be taken during sunrise or sunset. That's gonna make it quite red tinted.
