Saturday, I watched a movie with Clint Eastwood, and Burt Renyolds. made in 84. called City Heat. I have never even heard of it. Was quite good.
Old James |

Recently I watched on TV "The final countdown". Saw the film dozens of times as a teenager, impressed by those Tomcats F-14 stomping over a pair of WWII Mitsubishi A6M Zero´s . Time travel was one of the interesting subjects, apart of aviation, that got my fullest attention: The U.S.S. Nimitz declaring on its own war to the Japan Empire of the rising sun! Thirty years later, the sound and special effects have improved a lot but changes are not so evident any more in aviation: for example, the F-14 (then) and the F-18 (today?). Which one is the battle horse of the U.S.Navy today? Probably still a twin-engine powered turbine with post-combustion fighter. |

DVW that was a pretty good movie. But they didnt get to kick butt before the ship went back in the time tunnel thing. As far as aircraft. the F-18 is the navys top fighter. But i think you will find the F-22 Raptor or the F-35 joint force figter ending up being the top dogs.
Old James |
