I have an MSI GTX460 Cyclone OC, but curiously I think the GFLOPS estimate is wrong. It is showing up as 363 GFLOPS, while my 9800GTX+ is showing 499GFLOPS. Comments? How does it compute GFlops, what does BOINC rate yours, etc. How to fix or is it broken? |

I have an MSI GTX460 Cyclone OC, but curiously I think the GFLOPS estimate is wrong. It is showing up as 363 GFLOPS, while my 9800GTX+ is showing 499GFLOPS. Mine comes in at 605 GFLOPS while my 5830 is at 1792 GFLOPS. I think the 460's are still new enough that they are not getting a complete reading yet, give it some time and see what it will run time wise instead. |

4 whatever boxes are broken........ Crippled from the crib or whatever. They are so lame. Fermi was a bust. Hype, nothing more. If I could downgrade to some 200 series cards from the 3 4's I bought, I would do it in a heartbeat. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Do I need to reinstall the optimized apps? I did have them installed and just installed this card? |

Do I need to reinstall the optimized apps? I did have them installed and just installed this card? If you have any doubts, I would just rerun the Lunatics auto installer. It should set everything correctly with the new card. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Keep in mind that after a rerun of the Installer your (maybe) modified app_info.xml will be overwritten. Helli A loooong time ago: First Credits after SETI@home Restart |

I use an older GTX 260 and it comes in at 560 GFLOPS when at the factory clock settings. 590/999 I have not found any game unplayable so I do not overclock but I have found it can be cranked up quite a bit over 600 GFLOPS. So now the Fermi cards users seem to be not too happy with the float() performance. I noticed a GTX 460 had no real gain over the GTX 260 as far as GFLOPS went. I do know the there are a few more cores, but I was surprised at the poor performance overall. The rival ATI cards seem to score better. I bought the GTX 260 for games, plain and simple and its fine even with demanding games. |

My factory overclock comes in at 641...I think the official number on these is actually right under 1000 (907 or so) so an OC should be right at or over 1000. That said using a <flops> of about 100,000,000,000 in my app info actually seems to give me the proper queue length. |
