If they need to pull a matching set of servers out of this..
Well that is going to be up to the big kids in the lab...

But if I was approaching it I would look at a 2 socket motherboards, with a single 6 core xeon equipped (each).. maybe 16-32G memory equipped.. and
we could see about beefing them up later.

Also if they can port some of their applications to FERMI... well there could be some MAJOR boosts to server power as well for much cheaper.

We are no where near the point of "order whatever you need". But I am sure it will be a big help. I dunno what all 3 fund drives add up to, but it should be well over 20K.
