to be nice, set it to "no new tasks".. finish crunching, upload, and then detach. Janice |

Very unlikely. I have no pending units in Einstein, which means that all my wingmen's units are OK. Tullio |

OK. But if you detach from a project all of your units are resent and Einstein's deadlines are much shorter than SETI's. Tullio |

Thanks, but where do I find "Detach"? I cant find it anywhere. On your BOINC manager. I start my 6 projects on Linux first by the command ./run_client & then ./run_manager &. On my OpenSolaris virtual machine I use simply ./boinc_client & but I have no BOINC manager. Tullio |

boinc manager, projects tab for current versions. I am guessing same place on yours. Janice |

Thanks, but where do I find "Detach"? I cant find it anywhere. You still have 15 tasks (14 + 1) listed as in progress at Einstein. Please set No New Tasks for Einstein and finish the started tasks or abort them and don't forget to report them in either case. If that's done, look at the Projects tab in BOINC manager. There you'll find a Detach button. If it remains disabled after you selected the Einstein project, you have attached via an account manager and should detach the same way. Thanks to everyone who responded. Detaching from Einstein has really helped. Clyde |

And what was the problem? What means "Einsteins really mess up my computer"? Why "Detaching from Einstein has really helped"? If you describe this you will help others to avoid the same problem. Â - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) Â |

I have removed E@H from my tasks. I also did not bother to finish outstanding tasks, I dropped them immediately. |
