Just a few clips that I ran across on youtube whilst Seti was down..... Remember that little gay piano player from Milwaukee? I do... As a child, and in the 60's, his personal info was either not spoken about or not known....... He was just a magnificently talented performer..... I remember watching his shows and waiting for his one 'premier performance' of the night, which was always wonderful. May he rest in peace, the joy he could bring with his astounding mastery of the 88's still brings me joy...... A series of links I dug up to his performances.....enjoy. Tico Tico Tiger Rag 12th Street Rag Beer Barrel Polka Concerto in B flat minor.... LOL...Chopsticks. Liberace and Phyllis Dyller. And the best one.....Liberace on the Smothers Brothers show....(do you know how fast you were playing?) I know it's a long list, but I had a lotta fun remembering these things from my young years. He was, above all, an entertainer. EDIT.....and one more, that I just found now...... I heard this one on an old album titled 'Liberace Live at the Hollywood Bowl'.. This interview is BS...... Christina says 'she was a victim of sexual abuse'......... Christina lies........ Ever watch the full movie, and how she presented her character?? She was a slut.....and that's what the whole movie was about......he was gonna 'cure her of her wickedness......her sickness....' He never abused her.....ever. He cared for her, and went beyond that.....maybe too far beyond that.....by caring enough to try to solve her problems of drug and sex addiction. Pure BS.......the gurl she portrayed was explicitly a willing and active participant........ She was the antagonist.......WTF? Fake BS...... John Prine........... What can I say about John...... The second Dylan? I dunno. He has certainly written some pointed songs. This one does not seem to make any specific statements. Good music though. First couple of passes on the radio, I thought it was JJ Cale. Maybe it was the result of his 'Illegal Smile'....LOL. Ain't Hurtin' Nobody. I can relate to the sentiment though. And then, or course this...... My gurl...... If I could have one single fantasy come to life, it would be her. The one, the only, Joan Jett. The movie was OK....but left a lot out. I came close to her once.....it was not to be. She has other delights in life, if you know what I mean. I Luv Rock and Roll..... Self taught, hard luck driven, my kinda gurl. Oh, Joannie. Hank Williams sang it, and he meant it, My friends, are you ready for the Angel of Death? I can send him to you......or just a link. You might find it enlightening.........some 40 years ago or more.
