Uhh.......
I wrote this gurl a poem.

Never forget it......

The last words were......

"Until here I wait, love,
Alive, but alone....."

And so, 40 years later, it has been true.

Mary Anne Theresa Karen Hendricks, where are you?

Oh yes, I do remember her name. Every single one of them.

Uhh..........I think I missed a couple of PNs.........

But don't be offended if I miss your mark.

Plaase...........

Sad is where I am right now.

If I could explain it to you, I could fix it.

Kpax is a strange, but wonderful place.

This world I am chained to hurts me so much.

Wow.............

This is an excellent second take on Seven Nation Army....
Not to belittle the original, but this is great!

Hope your speakers are up to it....the bass player obviously has much to say in this band.

Time for an upgrade.......my little JBL's are just cookin'. The sub is just a woofin'.

What's a good set of mini speakers these daze?

I've got Cambridge speakers plugged into my Xi-Fi card and they do sound good - but not as good as the Mordaunt-Short MS5-30's coming out of my Audiolab 8000A Mk2 (yep, all 80s/90s gear, and still good) as you may expect! Most of the time I use a pair of Sony MDR-V300 headphones....they were pretty cheap, but the sound produced by them is amazing for the money (the long cable is a boon, for me). Having said that, the bass can be a little over-powering on some of the 60s music.

I love Shure headphones (they use them in a couple of the local recording studios) but who the heck can afford them: $400 +.

I personally use Bose ($150 for the over-ear type, $130 for ear-buds). A good compromise between sound quality and price.

I don't have a decent pair of headphones anymore.

My Dad bought one of the first experimental sets that Koss in Milwaukee ever manufactured.

Cobbled into a Voice Of Music console via a metal patch box that was wired directly into the speakers...there were no headphone jacks yet.

He set up the Garrard turntable with copy of the newest Les Paul release...one of the first stereo records released, if I am correct.

Put that 5 lb. set of headphones over my ears and dropped the needle in the groove. You want to talk about nirvana???? I wouldn't let him take them off until he had tracked the album about 5 times.

I was hooked.

Some years later, when I was making a living selling and buying stereo equipment I listened to what I think was the best pair ever made.
I think they were Sennheiser....electrostatic headphones.
About the closest thing to wiring your ears directly into the sound source.
They were about $1000.00 back then.

I did buy about $30,000.00 worth of gear over the years.
18" JBL subwoofer as big as your console TV.
3 Nakimichi 200w/channel amps.
DBX compressor/limiters
Denon turntable with an Ortofon moving coil pickup.
Teac X1000R open reel, and a couple of Scully broadcast decks.
Couple of Sony Elcasets......remember them? Had to get some tapes from England just to play with them.
Some classic old recievers....Sony, Pioneer, Macintosh, Kenwood.
Yamaha digital tuner....they made some of the most sensitive tuners ever...put up a 50' tower next to the house. Could pull in about every FM radio station within a 100 mile radius. AM stations from about every corner of the planet.

You see, I'm like Dylan........
"I not once thought that the world would once hit......
That our live like this could be once scattered and split."

Sorry, you stole the words from others, and I simply used them here.

Have another go, eh?

Pure, true, Voice.
And I don't know why.......
