It had a tendency to grab ahold of a result and not release it, meaning a "multihomed" host (like the two above) would never clear. Shut down BOINC and fiddle with the hosts file and you could "trick" it into working. A newer libCURL is on the BOINC download page, along with all the intermediate versions. http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/?C=M;O=D If you decide to replace libCURL (and not try one of the development versions) please make sure you replace the right one.
