Don't forget that this country is the new "Land of Oz". Release a mass murderer & keep a thief. |

sadly his was a prison term of life. the last I checked he's still walking around. So he's not done with his prison term. life in prison is supposed to mean you never get out EVER In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

which he was only 8 years into + the time is was in custody awaiting trial which is subtracted from any sentence, so that’s about 10 years 4 months. Basically he got out 8 years early. (2/3 of 27 years) also remember he was convicted on circumstantial evidence rather than anything conclusive! |

CBC Radio reported that this murdering coward has approx three months to live. While many will disagree, with valid reasons, I believe releasing him to spend his last days with his family is the act of a compassionate state. While this guy showed no such mercy to his victims, we need to get past the Old Testiment mindset of an eye for an eye. I think acts of mercy such as this will yield benefits for the west in the long term. Just my opinion. |

CBC Radio reported that this murdering coward has approx three months to live. Unfortunately the non-west still believes in an eye for an eye and anything less than that is seen as a sign of weakness by them. |

also remember he was convicted on circumstantial evidence rather than anything conclusive! The strongest kind of evidence, the stuff that doesn't rely on the fallibility of human memory! |

CBC Radio reported that this murdering coward has approx three months to live. So what about Ronnie Biggs? Where was the compassion there? Sorry life in the west counts for nothing......however, steal a large sum................. |

CBC Radio reported that this murdering coward has approx three months to live. Home Office compassion policy is to release prisoners with three months left to live. |

We all will be Muslim soon anyway. Everyone in the West will cave to them as they are already sheeple. Freedom isn't free, there is a terrible price to pay for it. Not enough willing to pay the price anymore. |

CBC Radio reported that this murdering coward has approx three months to live. Ronnie Biggs should have been released years ago, while he still could have bought his pint. What is he going to do? Rob another train? He didn't even have that big of a role, anyway. It seems your government just wanted to make an example of him because he got over on them for so many years. Yup. Meanwhile, someone like Bernard Madoff will be released after only a couple years... |

As for any American opening his or her mouth moaning about it or Libya’s past “state sponsoring of terrorism†or expressing disgust at Britain you would do well to look at your own country who has covertly over the years been one of the biggest state sponsors of terrorism in the world and has had a hand in toppling many governments etc by sponsoring terrorists in that and other country’s or playing both sides in wars, it seams you don’t like things done on your doorstep like 9/11 yet your dam countries citizens were only to happy to allow the rising of money for the IRA and other paramilitary groups in Ireland etc, etc, and you as a nation are only to happy to trade with undesirable nations or install sympathetic dictators and generally interfere. |

With respect to you personally b101uk, we don't let mass murderers go to score better trade deals w/ other countries. |

With respect to you personally b101uk, we don't let mass murderers go to score better trade deals w/ other countries. Britain has been at the forefront of helping Libya to be what it is now rather than what it was, Anglo Libyan involvement in oil exploration in Libya goes back prior to WW2 so is nothing new, thus ignorant people read things into BP or Shell’s activates which pre date by many years this mans release. Yes this mans release will help even more Anglo Libyan relations and will help British companies BUT that doesn’t mean that this mans release was to “score better trade deals†when Anglo Libyan relations are good anyway. Remember it’s the SAME press/news agency’s that are telling people that he cam back to a hero’s welcome when if you had seen the wide angle shots you would see that there was not that many people at the base of the plane steps and ALL could quite easily be happy friends and family members, there are a lot a festivities this time of year anyway as it’s the anniversary of when Muammar al-Gaddafi came to power and its 40 years this year, so don’t believe all the spin you hear on your news channels. |

b101uk please try to read the link I included...Sky News-I believe-is not an American news outlet. Sky News focuses on UK issues...so I think they would be fairly accurate and reliable |
