...
It can take time for sure but our ISP seems to have low TTL so i get a time out long before those thirty minutes you just mentioned..

//Vyper

I don't know if this was/is the/my prob..

Because I got after the weekly maintenance last week only: Scheduler request failed: HTTP internal server error's

My GPU cruncher got this message.

The QX6700 could connect well to the scheduler.

I don't know for sure.. I guess the whole .xml report file couldn't reach the scheduler. Because all the time I had UL activity. And after ~ 30 min. the scheduler said: 'hey, didn't got the whole .xml' and sent this error message.

Or..?

Splitters are down and we've run out of work, shut down your BOINCs for now. (unless you are running other projects)

Nah, I have three days work before I run out. One of the lucky ones I guess..

Help. I keep getting 'Project has no jobs available' messages from the server when I request new tasks.
Can anyone tell me why if the servers are running?

This only good advice if:

1) You have computers that ONLY run SETI@Home.

2) Those computers are out of work.

It's lousy advice for anyone who runs BOINC as intended: on computers that are running anyway, and have other jobs.

No, but if you look at the Server status page you mgiht be able to work it out for youself. [Hint: it's maybe to do with the fact that all the mb_splitters have been shown as "Not Running" for most of the day.]

That page is worth bookmarking, if you don't know how to reach it from the front page.

At this time, the closest looks to be the Gloria fire, more than 100 miles away.

California is a pretty big state.

Well, I managed to get a couple of new WU, so I can wait.

Only one splitter working and lots of thirsty PCs out here to be watered. Its at times like this that I'm glad I run as big a cache on each PC as possible.

Have the splitters actually run out of data to chew on, or have they stalled? Two very different problems, but to my unskilled eyes the same symptoms to the end user......

What Richard said, plus the simple fact that SETI does not promise to always have work, or that demand for new work won't outstrip supply.

Oh Yeah it has also been mentioned to Matt a LOT in the tech discussion forum. So far Matt has not seen it/ not thought it important enough to act on.

From the looks of the server status page, looks like we are about to hit the "proverbial wall".

I second that maybe he's on another vacation. I hope Matt & hits family & friends are ok. I'm sure we will find out soon enough. It feels strange not having any technical news for so. I'm sure I speak for all crunches the technical news is much appreciated by us all.
