BTW, whoever kicked the server this morning, thanks a lot :)
when I looked up server status after not being able to see my tasks (results) I saw red
muchly appreciated, muchísimas gracias, obrigado, vielen herzlichen Dank, merci beaucoup, domo arigato gosaimashita, efcharistó, mille grazie, hvala lijepo, spasibo bolshoe

I've never quite understood why people get so emotional (angry, seeing red) over anything at this project when 99% of the time things can be explained in a rational way when given a chance and a bit of patience.

I think he only meant the fields of the status page, not any emotions ;-)

:) 's ok. I did mean the color of the fields, of course, it made for a great pun on the double meaning of the phrase ;)

now, if the downloads would clear up, that would be nice too.

While tables are compiling it is easy to type out a few lines to sketch out the nature of the problem.

That of course assumes that the SETI staff is single-threaded, and can't do anything else productive while they're waiting for something to compile.

It is very easy for us to make demands, we aren't doing the work.

Good test for the reader's state of mind as to which side of the pun is seen! (Or assumed if the multiple meanings are not seen...) :-)

More seriously, this is all a volunteer effort, even if the target holds great philosophical value.

Never quite understood how some of the dedicate "power crunchers" could get into quite so much angst over a few nefarious cobblestones... :-p

(Special notes there on the humour warnings!!!)

Happy crunchin',
Martin

Yes but which one?

The "absolutism" or the inky psychology?

:-)

Or do both fit well? :-O

Keep searchin',
