Can't wait to hear the justification of this one from the rapture kooks. Kill em all...let God sort them out. oops...I forgot that they also believe "Thou shalt not kill" Seems they can't live up to their own standards. The really sad part is the religious right will secretly and very privately be rejoicing in this MURDER while publically denouncing it. |

THE LARGEST MASS GRAVE IN AMERICA? LOS ANGELES (ANS) -- Yesterday [Oct 6, 2005] was the 20th anniversary of the sealing of what many regard to be the largest mass grave on American soil. There isn’t anything that points you to the site in the Odd Fellows cemetery in East Los Angeles. You have to search for it, but it’s there on the east side of the grounds marked only by a flat gravestone that says “IN MEMORY OF THE 16,500 PRECIOUS UNBORN BURIED HERE. OCT 6, 1985.†http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1499096/posts |

Women have the right to control their own fertility - "our bodies, our lives, our right to decide". Perhaps more energy should be concentrated on the precious already born who are killed everyday in senseless wars.. |

Women have the right to control their own fertility - "our bodies, our lives, our right to decide". I like the line from a Rush song that goes something like We are so busy with being right that we neglet the truth. Being right doesnt make it ok. I'd never want a woman I'm with to have an abortion. That being said I wouldnt want to be with a woman that would consider having an abortion. It just seems so callus. On the otherhand I am not one to dictate how others run their lives. If so called Christians would actually follow their rules and leave the rest to God then everyone would be happier. Theirs nothing in the Bible that says you have to protest people doing things you don't like. only that we are responsible for following his rules for ourselves. On a side note, I don't see these activists clamouring outside porn shops and Girly clubs. Talk about unmarried sex and unmarried women... I'll never know the luxury of mothering a child. The largest reason given for woman who attained an abortion was they just didnt want to get pregnant. So instead of getting a condom or a pill to make sure they didn't they used the alternate, after the fact, and expensive birth control method. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

The largest reason given for woman who attained an abortion was they just didnt want to get pregnant. So instead of getting a condom or a pill to make sure they didn't they used the alternate, after the fact, and expensive birth control method. Presupposing that all sex is consensual and that a 100% guaranteed method of birth control exists and will always be used when people that have no desire being parents have sex. None of which is true, i.e. it's not always "instead of". Not that I'm suggesting abortion be restricted to pregnancies resulting from non-consensual sex and/or failed contraception, Hev's perfectly right, women's (just as men's) bodies are their own. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

Why do they need to wait until the late term to make the decision to abort especially for these special conditions? |

Why do they need to wait until the late term to make the decision to abort especially for these special conditions? It takes that long for them to: A) know they are pregnant B) find a doctor C) save up the cash D) sneak around the protesters E) find out he isn't going to marry them F) they procrastinate up to the deadline G) ... It doesn't matter. It is their body and their decision. |

yes, their decision, nobody´s else. but they ought to do something to the protesters, like they are not allowed to protest outside of clinic, but at least five blocks away. i think woman who is entering to the clinic has hard time enough already, they really don´t need some lunatics to scream obscenities to them. |

What about the fetus's decision to live? |

What about the fetus's decision to live? Presupposing that a fetus can make a decision, but even so, what about it? It might seem harsh and unfair, but a fetus's "wishes", in the vast majority of cases, will be a secondary consideration when weighed against those of the person carrying the fetus in their womb. Whether abortion is legal or not, women have and, in all likelihood, will continue to exercise some control over whether their body is a viable place for the development of a fetus, the difference legal abortion makes is mainly to the level of risk of injury to the woman upon deciding not to make it viable. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

What about the fetus's decision to live? This leads to the question of what about a newborn. It cant sustain itself. As long as the mother agrees to it why would it be a crime to kill it? and by that line why wouldn't every alzheimers patients fit into this logic. What about the fetus's decision to live? I assume most suicides occur much later in life In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |
