I listened to Coast To Coast Am last night. They had on
Bart Sibrel who supposedly has evidence that the Mission to the moon was A HOAX.

My standard reply to those who bring up the moon hoax theory:

If the President of the United States can't have sex in his office and keep it secret for more than a few months, how could anybody keep something of this scale quiet for 30+ years?

Well.....consider JFK.
Not that I support the moon hoax theory.

I recently read an article refuting the moon hoax hypothesis (I refuse to give it credence by calling it a theory).

1) The time for the dropped objects (hammer and feather) matches the moon, NOT the earth. The feather also fell at the same rate as the hammer - requires a vacuum.

2) The dust thrown up by the moon buggy fell back at the rate that matches the moon, not the rate that matches the earth. It did not disperse - again requires a vacuum.

3) The oft quoted flag ripples - the horizontal mast jammed on the first deployment, and eveyone decided that looked better anyway. (weak argument on BOTH sides).

4) Sharp shadows are a prduct of vacuum, not atmosphere.

The list continued for about 6 pages.

Some said that the Stars in the pictures didn't twinkle and so It must be fake, Problem is none of those people have been in space above the atmosphere, Stars appear to twinkle here on Earth cause of Earths atmosphere, Nothing more.

Look for light in the shadows, See any?(I'm talking about that long one that goes from left to right across the picture) It's a vacuum so pure that there is complete darkness where light isn't already at. This photo is from the Landing site for Apollo 11 in the Mare of Tranquility. My mother worked for Chem Aero back then She did touch up on the copper plate(rectangular shaped) that has a picture of the Earth as known back then(no details of the ocean floor, sorry) and the plate had 4 names, 3 I know of off hand (Armstrong, Buzz and yep R.M.Nixon[Honorary Astronaut] and that last name was the guy up in the command module in orbit about the moon). The plate was attached to the leg of the LEM(Lunar Excursion Module) behind the ladder leading to the ground from the ascent module, Some of the landing sites were near near or around the Mare(Sea) of Tranquility and some were I think elsewhere. The picture shows an Astronaut near the Flag(which may have been knocked down by the blast of the ascent stage as It rose to lunar orbit) and the LEM on the left half out of frame.
____________

I'll second that in motion...

If I remember correctly the Moon landing took place in July of 1969.

July 20th, 1969 to be exact. I remember where I was while I watched. At my church's annual ethnic picnic, the kind the whole region would attend. We all cramed into the club house like sardines, watching the TV in the lounge.

Where were you? Do you remember? Anybody?

I was at a swim meet - stayed up late that night watching.

I remember that day like it was yesterday. Was allowed to hold up our annual vacation trip to Northern Germany and watched it on a black and white TV, given to us by my grandparents. Our first by the way.

That was 50's technology and It took quite a while before real stereo came about.

Actually, a color set did not make much difference (the hotel had them - advertised in large letters out front if I recall).

Was 14 at the time; used to follow the Space Program ever since Kindergarten (early 60's). I used to follow every single mission from launch to splashdown (well, as much as I could with going to school, but as soon as I got home, that TV - small as it was - got changed to whatever channel had the best coverage (IMHO at that time) - with my mom's permission, of course); in fact at one PTA meeting, my Kindergarten teacher had apparently showed my mother a drawing I had made in class; it didn't make any sense to her (or my mother), but then she told her that I had described the "gantry", the "umbilicals for the fueling", etc. in such detail (even at pre-school age) that it impressed my teacher to the "Nth" degree.

Just finished reading A Debunking of the Moon Hoax Theory; interesting read, even though I've never been one of those Hoax people (my mother seemingly is, though).

Why do we waste time on the moon hoax theory, when we should be finding out what they REALLY did with the alien bodies from Roswell?

The thing is someone was saying that venus didn't have any gravity, well, if the suggestions of the material that was found at the Roswell crash is accurate, the light 'crumpable' anti gravity material wouldn't work on planets that haven't got any gravity, suggesting that those flying saucers are ours...
