Some person or persons in southern Florida have been killing cats over the last couple of months.

I truly hope they get caught soon before they kill any more innocent cats or escalate to some other form of violence.

This is a revolting story and makes one wonder just what evil courses through their veins and minds. Utterly disgusting.

Cats to me are amazing critters. Our Salem, Smooch, and Bonkers, get a can of Canned food at least once a week.
When that day comes - if they are awake and watching the birds on and under the feeder through the screened window nearby I can call them and will get blatantly ignored.
From 2 rooms away - once I pop the top on the cans, I get 3 head-butts and a countertop full of meowing felines supervising the operation.
Even if they are asleep - it's the same drill.
Whether asleep or focused they never seem to lack awareness of what is going on around them (UNLESS THEY CHOOSE TO).

The kitty, she watches.........a new kitty poem by Mark S. Sattler.....meow.


The kitty, she watches, and surveys the dark room
where she alone is the master, peering out from the gloom.

The kitty, she has powers beyond what you and I
know as our 5 senses, they have more to try.

So she knows 'bout the world, tho
she never has seen it.
She knows something's wrong
'cuz she surely can sense it.

There are things going wrong for so many...so far.
No matter what you think, or just who you are.

Time is coming, my friends, that we must realize
that we must view the world thru
that wise kitties' eyes.

All good things they must pass,
and I think we're not thru it.
And it's not getting better until we undo it.

Too much for too long......living high on the hog.
Laying asleep at the wheel,
like the lazy ol' dog.

Taken too much too for granted,
like life owes it to us.
Take a pill, my friend and ponder.....
How much is too much?

Now our cars can't compete, they have all gone kaput,
GM is now covered in rust and tailpipe soot.

But bigger things lie on the horizon, my friends......
The kitty sees things worse than that 'round the bend.

We have burdened this world with our excesses such
and yet we still have to ask.....
Just how much is too much?

My computers, they struggle to crunch out the max.
Green crunching, you ask?
Please don't take me to task.

So, just so you know, if it comes as is written,
this was all much foretold by a wise little kitten.

The kitty she watches, and sometimes she cries.
For she cannot control mankind's convenient lies.

So the kitty she watches, tho cannot control
the planet she lives on, while mankind takes their toll.

It will end soon, my friend,
sooner that most of you think.....
The kitty, she watches.
Once in a while she does blink.

There are kitties, like mine, staring back at you thus.
They are warning us all......every single one of us.

She stares at us wondring,
will they ever dare dwell?
