Vaaiirry interesting so far.
I created a new username and password, ran the clicks in supermode and added two minicity links (dvoraksociety and dacomville) and one miniville I happened to have lying around (believe it or not, another dvoraksociety, situated in Brittany, which I thought was nice).
I have logged off that username and logged in with my new ones and found that my three "new" links are still there. All I have to do now is wait and see if someone tries to delete them in 20 hours!

Welcome back Mark. Wish we could say the same for Whiskey!

I still do not have all the particulars but Whiskey has met with some sort of accident and is in hospital in Sharjah. British Embassy staff have been to see him and they are trying to arrange his repatriation to the UK.

They have suggested that help may be needed but precisely what, where, when and how I do not yet know. He has been so much help to so many others that I hope we shall be able to rally round him when the time comes. Your organisational skills could ne needed!

I have just received a message to say that Whiskey has had a fairly serious "stroke" and needs long-term rehabilitation in England. He has given permission to the Consulate staff to discuss his case with me and I expect a telephone call tomorrow (Wednesday 25th March) so that we can talk about his case and what is needed for him.
More news some time tomorrow, then, but please do stand by to offer some sort of help if at all possible when the time comes.

Hello Everyone,
I'm a member of the seti@home UAE Residents'team.
here's an update on John Walker.

I visited Johnnie at the Kuwait Hospital, Sharjah, the day before yesterday. He's been there for over a month. Johnnie is paralysed down his right side, and cannot speak intelligibly. He smiled and tried to talk to me, but,like I said,he cannot talk intelligibly. It was very distressing to see him like this.

Johnnie's well-wishers are trying to get things sorted so that he can be taken back to the UK. There are some complications with this, but things are working out.

I shall, hopefully, be visiting Johnnie again tomorrow,and will give you the latest update on what's happening as and when I get more info.
