I hadn't paid full attention to the email news. Seems the denialists make their entire case on British scientists. I assume that there are climatologists in other countries too. Did all the British Climatologist feel the same way?

Can this be a case of scientist blowing off steam to an ill informed and easily manipulated public.

I for one am getting tired of hearing from reporters polling johnny on the spot about global warming. Johnny needs to graduate from the 6th grade before he really has a clue. Perhaps actually asking scientists their opinions would be of more benefit for the general populous to hear from.

Anyone who takes the high school level wikipedia site seriously deserves everything he gets from unknown contributors moderated by unknown editors for unknown reasons.

An entry giving citations of the seven mentions by Herodotus of Palestine and the Palestinians was removed and the contributor banned. It was too advanced for the target audience of high school students.

That said I find it quite difficult to get upset with the idea that the New Year's Eve of 2101 will find sea levels four inches higher than today.

If one actually followed the melting glacier stories coming from the Alps a treasure trove of human artefacts is being uncovered. It appears the Alps suffered "catastrophic" growth to their modern size starting around the 15th c.

As has been known for decades the loss of Brazilian rain forest is due to logging and farming. OTOH it is most reasonable to attribute the loss of the Saharan rain forests and grasslands to other than industrialization.

Have you factored in the contribution of your breathing to establish this negativity?

Atmospheric CO2 is estimated to be between 750 and 830 gigatons, +/- 40GT while the calculated human contribution, less breathing, is estimated to be 3GT per year. Where does your 7.2e-12% fit into just the estimated annual human contribution? Are you making a difference yet?

Considering the estimated human contribution is more than an order of magnitude lower than the uncertainty, that is, no measurable contribution to total CO2, where does your percentage fall in this unmeasurable contribution?

If genocide is an unforgivable crime against humanity the earliest ones are recorded in the Septuagint, aka Old Testament. The earliest recorded attempted extermination for religious reasons was of the Druids by the Romans followed the attempted extermination of the Christians by the Judeans.

Note I merely objected to the discussion changing from one which discussed the science to one which is no more than a slangin' contest. I have no problem with either. I can even did up the bible references for the crimes against humanity not only from both testaments but from the only legal definition of genocide which is contained in the UN genocide treaty which have been in progress since 1948.

To be honest I know beyond a reasonable doubt the entire OT is fantasy and the Judeans first appeared in history in the 2nd c. BC so any citation from the original Septuagint is little different from citing the Tales of the Grimm brothers. I find it reasonable that the genocide of Christians recorded in Acts was a likely event. I consider it an excellant example of don't start of fight you can't finish -- so stop whining.

But if you wish to make it all name calling fine with me. I have never found the melters to have a single credible argument so I really did not expect to be surprised with this crowd.

Should anyone care, at the moment enough do to suck 1.6GB per month, everything I have to say can be found at http://www.giwersworld.org. About 200MB of material there at the moment.

Crude penned however is far from descriptive as the material there will show. Sloppy on spelling perhaps but my literacy is quite far above average. There is quite sufficient quantity of my writings there to make the point. Perhaps the simpleton who wrote what you link is the product of a public school education.
