I have located software that can control the fan on NVIDIA GPU's. Software is named EVGA Precision. You will need to register then it's a free download. Software can load at windows start and take control of the fan.

Perhaps someone can run the fan up to 100% and give CUDA another try and see if the errors go away.

I have been using the latest version of nVidia SmartDoctor. It allows for variable speeds depending on temp. I had errors either way. Video testing software ran the temp up even higher without trouble.

Rivatuner should be able to control fan speeds as well.
