Is it one of those basically meaningless things like the benchmarks? Why I ask is on one of my Q6600 boxes I'm seeing: % of time BOINC client is running 95.1339 % While BOINC running, % of time work is allowed 99.9862 % Average CPU efficiency 1.029262 Task duration correction factor 0.187926 On my other Q6600 I see the more expected: % of time BOINC client is running 91.2938 % While BOINC running, % of time work is allowed 99.9905 % Average CPU efficiency 0.996526 Task duration correction factor 0.196616 Thanks for any insight, UncleVom |

The calculation is CPU time divided by wall time. Most likely you had a misbehaving application that had more than one processing thread. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

Is it one of those basically meaningless things like the benchmarks? Nope, it's used to help determine the amount of work to download depending on your cache setting. Grant Darwin NT |
