Don't feel too safe Mark, There's always a Joker out there, Somewhere. Me I'm just able to buy a Q6700 cpu, some pc2-8500 ram(4GB or 2x2GB), 3-fans, 3-fan controllers and 2 cpu heatsinks.

At what cost?

I think the kitties will stand pat for the moment.........
There is no guarantee that the new mobo would let me achieve any higher OC on the Frozen Penny, but I shall keep them in mind if one of my current ones goes away on me...........
And probably check the OCing sites to see what some other can do with them.......those folks rather quickly find out if a mobo is worth it's salt......

Relax hiamps, I just air cool cpus here, No exotic stuff, I let Mark be the guinea pig for the exotic cooling, his Kitties like that, Mine likes air better. I just sold My old car(I bought a more gas efficient older car in Its place, which needs cruise control(oem), a tilt steering wheel, an MP3 CD changer and a new light bulb for the dome light), So some things should be achievable, Most is going into My house(cooling, dual pane windows, etc). My car insurance and gas costs will go down some of course.

My first attept lasted nine months then the MB and CPU split due to condensation...Ran at -16C

Yup....the old condensation bug will get you if you are not careful at those temps....
The Frozen Penny runs at about -30c.......I use copious amounts of clear silicone grease in and all around the lga775 socket....rather messy, but so far, I have not had any condensation related problems....

I am hoping that by this fall I can take some deserved time off and play again...It really was fun pushing that P4 3.0 to 3.8...

Yup I think so...That computer was built right after seti original ended and I strayed from seti. It never ran seti so now I feel compelled when I have the time to see what I can do with my peltiers and whatever I get when the time comes...It will be top of the line...Hopefuly this fall...
