(You'll have to settle for a link because I haven't installed bible software on this OS... yet)

Update: Bible software is locked, loaded, and ready for action...

Be aware: The search features in linux are top notch... ;)
It may not be 1984 but George Orwell sure did see the future . . .

To the original question of the thread - In discussions I've had with friends about this subject there's been mention of something Jesus supposedly (according to my friend) was quoted as saying in the bible about "sheep in other flocks of which you know nothing". I did a little searching just now and the closest I could find was - John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Just like every other passage in the bible this can be interpreted in many different ways if you try hard enough, so I leave that to you and merely suggest that one possible interpretation could be ET.

As to a latter discussion brought up in this thread regarding the giant of David v Goliath, some show on the Discovery Channel (that I only vaguely remember, hope this is correct, it was a while back) took a look at the story and came to the general conclusion that Goliath suffered from acromegaly which resulted in gigantism, along with being more susceptible to death by a blow to the head from a rock. Also a form of tunnel vision from the tumor causing the condition could allow for David to sneak up on him quite easily.

It seems that somebody found an ancient society of larger than average people, due to genetics and good nutrition. During the time the average height was much smaller for most populations than it is today, and the modern day human could quite possibly be considered a bit giant (especially with the obesity "epidemic"!). Sadly I do not recall when or where I heard this, but it seems only logical a larger than average society could exist at any given time. I believe even now Scandanavians are on average the tallest humans, due to better nutrition.
Apologies for the lack of sources and high potential for error in this information. I know how we all hate unsubstantiated claims, but these are more possiblities I have yet to see discussed so I figured I'd throw them out there and hope for the best.

I was always taught that this reference was to persons of other faiths but I suppose it could be made to refer to aliens. An interesting one that!
