Hi, I used to use the seti@home program many years ago, and I used to have the seti data streaming graphics as my desktop background. I can't seem to figure out how to get that to happen now or how to get the graphics as a screen saver. I feel like I've probably just missed something obvious. Can anyone help me? Em |

OK. I have no idea how to get the BOINC graphics set as a streaming background (PS whatever you do with 5.X for this is going to change for 6.x). The BOINC screen saver runs the graphics from whatever application is running. Not all projects have graphics, and not all installations of BOINC can support graphics. Note, the rules for 6.x change here as well. In 5.x and earlier, if you have installed as a service, you will not get graphics unless you set the service account to be "local system" and you "allow interaction with desktop". In 6.x, you will be able to see graphics for 6.x applications when installed either as a service or not, but you will only be able to see 5.x graphics from a non service install. BOINC WIKI |
