I notice that CPU time is taking longer than actual mentioned in the BOINC when processing work units.

For example, just now a work unit finished with CPU time 07:47:00, but this WU was already in process for about 12 hours.

Does it means I only get credits of 07:47 hours calculation time instead of the actual time about 12 hours?

Time has nothing to do with crediting. It is the amount of calculations done (Flops) that are counted.

If the wall time is 12 hours and the CPU time is 7.75 hours, you have some other process eating 1/3 of your CPU time. Unless you know that you run something that is fairly CPU intensive (including the screen saver portion of BOINC), you should check for viruses and other malware.
