I notice that CPU time is taking longer than actual mentioned in the BOINC when processing work units. For example, just now a work unit finished with CPU time 07:47:00, but this WU was already in process for about 12 hours. Does it means I only get credits of 07:47 hours calculation time instead of the actual time about 12 hours? |

Time has nothing to do with crediting. It is the amount of calculations done (Flops) that are counted. ![]() My movie https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/502242 |

If the wall time is 12 hours and the CPU time is 7.75 hours, you have some other process eating 1/3 of your CPU time. Unless you know that you run something that is fairly CPU intensive (including the screen saver portion of BOINC), you should check for viruses and other malware. ![]() ![]() BOINC WIKI |
