I have a question: is a link to the BOINC optimized client, and what advantages does the optimized client have?
Sorry if this was already answered somewhere before, I just want to know.
For windows xp?

There is very little advantage to an optimized client, an optimized science app can be a big help though. I don't recommend them since they must be updated manually however I am sure someone will be along with a link soon.

Crunch3r has BOINC client that does CPU affinity, discussed in another thread, Report after one minute, used to be immediately but that causes validation problems and ability to adjust the credit multiplier for Seti ver 5.29, except new version is 6, as tested on Beta site at moment.
Don't know how it handles new graphics standard which takes graphics out of app and is/will be separate exe.

May be other things, but don't use, and only report what I have seen and read.
