If you are saying that God does not condone suicide bombers, Jeffrey, I agree with you. Then you should understand why I take offense when people attribute the acts of man to God or to religion... ;) It may not be 1984 but George Orwell sure did see the future . . . |

If you are saying that God does not condone suicide bombers, Jeffrey, I agree with you. It is the acts of men that I am talking about: deliberate misleading of gullible pawns; the lack of condemnation by moderate religious figures. I don't blame God or his "true Prophets" (uh oh, that phrase is grounds for a big argument), I blame the twisted actions of men. But I also notice very little condemnation from the religious leaders of the very religion that is being used to justify these crimes. |

If you are saying that God does not condone suicide bombers, Jeffrey, I agree with you. Yea I guess just the things we don't understand should be attributed to God...Isn't that how religion started? Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound! |

Another page for the book "The Shame of Islam" I agree to a certain extent. Yes, she was murdered because of her gender and political power, however, their beliefs and subsequent treatment of females is directly related to their religious views. |

It's also more or less why it continues It continues because ignorant people can't seem to understand a few simple books... ;) It may not be 1984 but George Orwell sure did see the future . . . |

It's also more or less why it continues I agree... Nothing like condemning the souls of those to "ignorant" to understand science and human nature. I mean God forbid a preacher having to pay for his own BMW! |

Nothing like condemning the souls of those to "ignorant" to understand science Radical atheists? Science fanatics? Anti-religious terrorists? ;) (See, I can 'label' too.) It may not be 1984 but George Orwell sure did see the future . . . |

Nothing like condemning the souls of those to "ignorant" to understand science So you know atheists who condemn souls for any reason? Or is this just another glaring example of the ignorance I was referring to above? |

So you know atheists who condemn souls for any reason? Only God can condemn the soul... However, I know plenty of atheists who condemn men of faith... ;) It may not be 1984 but George Orwell sure did see the future . . . |

So you know atheists who condemn souls for any reason? You confuse frustration and pity, for the ignorant who refuse to learn from their repeated mistakes, with condemnation...of course that's what your bibles teaches about the non-believer. |

of course that's what your bibles teaches about the non-believer. Of course it is! Because the devil has 'his version' of everything relating to God and His Word... The difference being, Gods word doesn't come into play until after death, the devils word is in play now... Hence, the reason for the 'day of recompense' due to the concept of 'freewill'... ;) It may not be 1984 but George Orwell sure did see the future . . . |

So you know atheists who condemn souls for any reason? Rarely do I see "frustration and pity" expressed by atheists toward the religious believer. More often it is condemnation for past sins of the Church (some very, very old) and sins of Man that wrongly cite religious texts. This is the very thing that Jeffrey and I are talking about: there are people in all religions who exploit very sensible teachings for their own gain, of some sort. |

So you know atheists who condemn souls for any reason? Yet strangely, Jeffrey, you still won't even condemn her assassination. In fact, you haven't condemned any suicide bomber or baby bomber in the past couple of years. You obliquely apologize for it as not being true to Islam but always refuse to state your opposition to the practice. When an 'honor killing' of a girl takes place because of perceived violations of islamic law you don't condemn it. When rockets are intentionally launched into children's playgrounds you won't condemn it. When they put bombs on children and baby bits are flying all over the streets you won't condemn it. When muslims round up dozens of others that don't happen to share their particular sick islamic creed and are found decomposing in a mass grave you won't condemn it. I've been paying close attention to your lack of attention for the past couple of years. Hmmmm. Somehow you are now trying to equate 'atheists that condemn men of faith' with your LACK of condemnation of actual murder, rape, lashings, tongues cut out (insert almost any imaginable crime here). Huh? Bizarre. Founder of BOINC team Objectivists. Oh the humanity! Rational people crunching data! I did NOT authorize this belly writing! |

So you know atheists who condemn souls for any reason? No one should be required to state their condemnation of things that are obviously wrong. That is like forcing someone to take a loyalty oath--in either case, it is too easy for one to simply state the (obvious) desired position, no matter how one may actually feel. But Jeffrey avoids acknowledging the reality that some adherents of Islam have usurped the religion for their own purposes, even though acknowledging that fact does not condemn the proper faithful or the religion itself. The wheat and the chaff are easily separated by simply examining the acts of these various groups. |

Actually, I avoid it out of spite towards the ungodly who continually demonize the religion for their own purposes... ;) It may not be 1984 but George Orwell sure did see the future . . . |

Actually, I buy that explanation. But it points up the reason for my longest running complaint about your posting style. On the other hand, why would you care what anyone thinks about your posting style? You don't break the posting rules (not intentionally, that I have seen) and you do make a point on occasion, without backing down from your position. Maybe I could try giving non-answers and cryptic responses . . . |

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan. I spent a long time in Pakistan. Primarily I was part of projects from my city that took young adults who had raised cash to help refugees. After the projects were over I stayed on my own. I have probably travelled more of Pakistan than any Pakistani has. In all my time there I never felt threatened or in any greater danger than I did in the UK. I went where ever I wanted. I slept in local hotels. I ate in the local cafes. I never once was mistreated. I was treated either like a guest or just like another person on the street. Pakistan has stood on the borders of different worlds for a long time and though Islamic has kept a sense of proportion. I don't know who killed Benazir (not sure I trust the news reports yet) but it was a shamefull act. She could have made our world better. I think Pakistan has lost a jewel. I hope we can find a way to support Pakistan without playing out our own political needs. Pakistan Eik Sitara Hai. . |
