I wouldn't want to get 10 000 recruitment mails either. I only send 1 per user that I deem MAY be a good fit with our team. Saenger, maybe you have the impression that I (or others) mail every user we can find. This isn't the case. Also, sending a PM has NOTHING to do with the article you posted. I agree, the initial answer was answered, the discussion afterwards should belong to a new thread. Concerning your point of "not collecting data": The data were collected by the scientific project for scientific crunching. Advertising of products like teams was not included in that contract. The use of that data for other purposes but scientific crunching needs the explicit consent of the users. So data collection and the use of it is part of the equation.
