Isn't there a button which says 'Advanced view' any more?

(Genuine question: I'm still using v5.10.13 as I'm happy with it, so I haven't seen the display on v5.10.28 yet).

Yes but the advanced view doesn't have the buttons and the few it has don't work. Seems totally stripped down or I did something wrong which wouldn't surprise me...

I suggest that the re-install 5.10.28... Something is wrong or corrupted...

I'm using it since a week and all the buttons are present and works fine...

Yep, something is wrong. I have 5.10.28 on all Windows machines & have all the buttons working.

As Logan said, reinstall.

Maybe there is special code just for button abusers?

I'm glad you took that in the spirit offered. I somehow doubt that they can serve different button sets to different users without heavily modifying the BOINC code.

Seriously though, the buttons (and the URLs to go with them) come from the project, so I wouldn't be surprised if they magically fixed themselves next time you update, and if you just wait, BOINC will request an update sooner or later (i.e. sometime in the next day).

Reinstalling isn't a bad idea either, and it'd be interesting to see what happens either way.

I will wait for the weekend and if not cleared will try reinstall. It is also happening on my laptop the only 2 computers here with me. I get this message when trying to reattach to the manager...

Yes I stopped Boinc and then did the install. Strange it happened on 2 of my machines but no one else. Shouldn't matter that I have the Chicken client....Wonder why I can't attach the manager? Can't even use the Detatch button all buttons are greyed out.

On the projects tab, have you clicked on a project to highlite it? That activates the buttons.....

You're welcome! Maybe now you can change the thread title to 'Figured out Boinc 5.10.28'... :)
