http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=171000116 Finished this one and figured I'd check up on my wingman. He finished one WU back on 8 September but nothing else. He got a bunch of WUs on 21 October and another one on 22 Oct. but he still hasn't done anything. Wonder if I'm going to be waiting until February 8 before I pick up these credits? I hate seeing 115 credits just laying around collecting dust. :( PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=171000116 He has a return time of 1.82 days, which is pretty good. I'm guessing that all of his other completed work has already transitioned, which is why you can't see it anymore. |

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=171000116 I hope you're right. Guess I'm just gun-shy. I've had a few wingmen disappear on me. PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=171000116 So, it takes a little longer to get credit. It'll still come through. |

BOINCstats provides a little more infomation. http://boincstats.com/stats/host_graph.php?pr=sah&id=444675. It appears that this host switches between SETI and Einstein@Home at fairly regular intervals. Looks like he may download a bunch of work, process it, then reconnect again. Thanks Keith, that makes me feel a lot better. Hope he switches back soon. That's quite a bit of change to be just laying around. :) PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

When I look at the wingmans I see this Celeron 1300 with impossible to work on over 1000 units, I feel very sad because people like us are working hard to give some to the project, and we waiting (I have now over 11 000 pending credits) for some phantom workers to do the job that they couldn't. Phantom lord Is there any way to stop these much earlier... |

I normally have 100 - 150 tasks on my two machines which are usually crunched and reported back in less than a week. I wonder what buddy is thinking ordering up this many WUs that he clearly will not be able to crunch before their due date. He’s been around for over three years, so he can’t really use my patented “I’m new and haven’t a clue†defence. ;-) |

To me, it looks like he is only downloading work units and not processing them; as thou he has a problem on that machine. I went down to the very last work unit he has. The work log states he is using BOINC 4.13. If something is happening that is trashing all the work units he downloads everyday, I do not think this version re-downloads missing work units. Also since the deadlines are very long, it took time for the work units to time out and decrease the quota to 1. Which it now is. So now he is only downloading one WU a day. But all the previous downloads have now to time out. SL |

And you can't even prod him now because private msg mail notifications got turned off globally by accident. I think this should be reversed to be globally ON. |

And you can't even prod him now because private msg mail notifications got turned It got turned to globally "off" because Spammers have been creating accounts and doing what spammers do. Dr. A doesn't want a new user to get an email "you have a PM at Seti", only to have them go there and read "Get Cialis 50% off, etc". They have been using Profiles as spam in some accounts as well, so keep your eye out for "reCAPCHA" when creating a profile. (coming soon to a project near you). |

Your guy has "only" 1000 WUs tied up. Look at host 1998551! He is awash in more than 3000 WUs, with little or no activity visable. There ought to be a law! |
