Well its been almost a year since BoincSpy has changed. Here are the changes:

What's New

• Add BOINC version checking for BoincSpy application(s). We must have a minimum BOINC version before these apps will run. For this release its 5.10.24
  
• Beta version of BoincSpy.Farm.

  • Allows users to view information on BOINC from different computers including Linux and Macs using Mono .

What's Fixed

• BOINC had made changes to RPC that caused all BoincSpy apps to crash. This is now fixed

Nice program.

Couple of points: -

Does it have to be installed on all computers on the "farm" for it to work?

Have done as suggested & changed the IP addresses where required, but it does not run.

When logging is enabled, either in MYSQL or SetiSpy formats, skymap comes up with unhandled exceptions. Is this a bug or a problem at my end?

A couple of things:

Boincspy.Farm.

Does the boinspy.farm.viewer launch? if so i the boincspy.farm.publisher program displaying any errors on the command line window. I have found that in most cases the issues are around windows firewall preventing the applications from talking to each other..As a quick test you may want to display the firewal to see if that is the issue. If there are any errors please take a snapshot of them and email them to me... boinc_spy@telus.net

Only the publisher and BoincSpyGacInstall.msi need to be on the boxes that you want to monitor.

It's in the settings. When you enable logging, wu stats start. This is what I did, but experienced the skymap problem.

The farm viewer does not launch. A Windows error box pops up with unhandled exceptions.

Will do as you suggested & take screenshots of all events & e-mail you. Thanks for the reply, as I find BoincSpy a pretty nifty program.

In that case, it looks like there are several bugs in the program.

I hope that BoincSpy can sort them out as it's a great program.

My main system which has 5.10.24 & BioncSpy wil be tied up for a couple of days & when back to normal will run both so that I can grab screenshots when they go down.

Then will e-mail them to BoincSpy so that he can sort the problems out.

Until then we will have to be patient but from what I see of the program, it will be worth it.

Hi PG,

I have had the BOINCSpy application hang with BOINC 5.10.24 as well. I did not change the interface to the GUI-RPC it been stable for a couple of years, I will be investigating in the next couple of days...

Currently on Boinc, when using BoincStats my world position states 94,172 & country position 6,420

Using boincStats through Boinc states 53,198 & 3,210.

Which one is correct?

Also, how are you getting on with the program hanging?
